Naval Aviation 100th Anniversary

To launch a year of celebrations honoring the 100th Anniversary of the Naval Aviation Foundation, AOO Events produced an unforgettable evening aboard the historic USS Midway, the aircraft carrier first commissioned during World War II.

Following a daytime aerial flyover featuring more than 200 vintage and active-duty aircraft, 700 distinguished guests gathered on the ship’s flight deck before descending into the Midway’s hangar bay — transformed by AOO Events into an elegant, immersive event environment. Chandeliers, layered lighting, and a refined red, white, and blue palette transformed the industrial space into elegance, while the evenings program hosted by Brett Favre, honored the history and legacy of naval aviation.

Throughout the evening, custom films created by Brett Culp Films brought deeply personal stories to the forefront, adding emotional weight and reflection to the celebration. The night concluded with a live performance by Kenny Loggins, whose iconic songs including Celebrate Me Home and Danger Zone created a powerful and memorable finale.

Blending history, patriotism, storytelling, and live entertainment, the event marked a meaningful milestone in Naval Aviation’s centennial year.
